Pupil Leadership Team (PLT)
Our Pupil Leadership Team is made up of 2 representatives from each class (Year 1 to 6). The children have been chosen by their class mates to represent the school.

This academic year the PLT’s main focus will be the ‘WE’ Project. This means that our school will work together to learn about and support both local and global projects – look out for news and photos through-out this year as each class completes their challenge.
Nursery and Reception – ‘WE Create Change’. They will be supporting our link school in Mara – Nyanza Primary.
Year 1 – ‘WE Read Together’. They will be supporting children in education in poorer countries. Look out for the book sale.
Year 2 – ‘WE Bake for Change’. They will be supporting Fairtrade … Look out for the Fairtrade Café during Fairtrade Fortnight.
Year 3 – ‘WE Scare Hunger’. St Mary’s has always supported the Food-bank in Batley; Year 3 will do further work to support them.
Year 4 – ‘WE Walk for Water’. They will be supporting WaterAid.
Year 5 – ‘WE are Rafikis’. They will be empowering girls in education in poorer countries. We will be having donated uniform sales to raise money. WE also have a peer reading group set up with girls in Year 5 at lunch-time.
Year 6 – ‘WE Won’t Rest’. They are supporting homelessness locally and looking at anti-bullying.
