Mrs Scott is leaving us

From Mr Justin Waters, Chair of Governors:

It is with regret that I have to inform you that our Headteacher Mrs Susan Scott will be leaving the school at the end of the current academic year.

Mrs Scott has been a tremendous asset to our school for over ten years.  Throughout this time she has demonstrated a sustained commitment to improving the quality of education provided to all pupils as well as ensuring they all have firm Christian values.

During her time as Headteacher educational achievement has seen a significant and sustained improvement. As a result of the firm foundations which she has been responsible for establishing, this improvement will continue into the future.  Her successor will therefore undoubtedly inherit a school which is entitled to be enthusiastic about its future.

Measures are already in place to recruit a new Headteacher and are being managed by a Selection Panel made up of five Governors supported by advisors from the Local Authority and Diocese.  The post will be advertised towards the end of March and interviews have provisionally been arranged to take place in May.

The school has been fortunate in having a Headteacher of the quality of Mrs Scott and I wish to assure you that the selection process that we are now engaged in will be both thorough and rigorous to ensure that we recruit only the best possible candidate to succeed her.

Mr Pitts currently teaches Computing to the whole school along with some other subjects during teacher's PPA time. He runs this website and makes sure it all works smoothly, most of the time!
