Dear Parents/carers,

Summer Concert

Many thanks to everyone who came along to our summer concert yesterday. We were sorry we had to postpone the event from Monday, but fortunately, even at this hectic time of year, we were able to find a slot. The children were amazing and clearly a great deal of work had gone into preparing for the event by the school staff. Thank you very much to everyone involved.

Change of School day start time

From next week our school day will start at 8.30am. Therefore your child will be marked as late if they arrive after 8.45am. The first lesson will start by 8.45am so it is essential that they are in the class and ready to start work before this time.

Beach Day

Get out your best sun hats because for one day only the beach is coming to Gomersal St Mary’s!

On Wednesday 19^th July as a special treat for all the children we will be using some of the funds raised this year to hold our very own ‘Day at the Beach’.

The afternoon will start with a picnic style lunch then all classes will go on to enjoy a carousel of activities including a bouncy castle, circus acts and much more!

Children are invited to come in non-uniform – Summer themed/bright colours (hopefully the weather will hold out!)

ParentPay accounts

It is essential that you make every effort to clear your Parent Pay accounts for Breakfast Club, Tea Time Club, Nursery and lunches. From September payments for Tea Time Club and Breakfast Club must be made prior to your child staying. Therefore, all accounts need to be settled before the end of the summer holidays. If you have questions regarding this, please speak to school.

School Uniform Donations

Thank you to all who have donated school uniform – If you are able to donate clean uniform in good condition, we would be very grateful. We are currently short of KS1 and 2 school cardigans, KS1 school jumpers and school summer dresses. Our Uniform Bank offers good quality uniform free to children in school. Thank you for your help.
