Dear Parents/carers,
Thank you very much for all your support this year. I can’t believe we have reached the end of another school year.
Thank you:
Our lunchtime supervisor, Mrs Rhodes, is retiring after 17 years of working at our school in different roles. Miss Jackson is also leaving us to spend more time with her family. We wish them both all the best and thank them for all their hard work and the amazing contributions they have made to our school.

Year 6 production:
The Year 6 children put on a fantastic Oscars production this week for school and families. Well done! We certainly learned more about the areas the children excel in including: the ‘ants in the pants’ award, the ‘busy bees’ award and the ‘Mary Poppins practically perfect in every way’ award.
The children put on a fantastic performance and there was hardly a dry eye in the house. Thank you to Miss Joyce and Mrs Kennedy for all their hard work in putting the production together. Thank you also to Mr Pitts for compiling photos of the pupils showing their time at our school.

Leavers Service:
Thank you to everyone who was able to make the Leavers Service in Church this morning. It was a very fitting tribute to our Year 6 pupils. The rest of school shared prayers wishing them all the best and thanking them for their contributions to our school and the year 6 pupils shared special memories. Brenda kindly handed out our special dictionaries and the Gideon society donated a small copy of the New Testament. Linda also sent us on our way with a lovely blessing.

Holiday photos:
We’d like to see some of the anything fun, exciting, interesting and wonderful things you get up to in the summer break so we can share them together as a school when we return in September. We hope this will be something fun to watch and be a part of.
Please email anything you’d like to share to the address summerfun@gsmcep.co.uk and Mr Pitts will put them together. Please make sure to add your child’s name to the email as we don’t always know your personal email addresses.
Food Bank non-uniform day:
Thank you for all your kind contributions for the food bank. I am sure they will be delighted with how much we have accumulated.
YEAR 3:
Please remember that Year 3 pupils are not automatically entitled to a free school meal. If you feel that you may be eligible you must apply through the Kirklees website.

If you are going to have any problems paying off these amounts you must speak to the school office.
Packed Lunches:
Please can I remind families that pupils should not have fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate bars in their packed lunches. Thank you for your support.
