Dear Parents/carers
Church Schools Inspection:
This week we had our Church School Inspection. Thank you very much to those people who supported some of the meetings during the day. The Inspector was in for one day and judged us on a number of criteria linked to being an effective Church School. The criteria were very challenging, but I feel we showed the inspector how successful our school is. We will inform you of the outcome once the report has been published, which will be in approximately two weeks.

Leavers Production and Service:
Families are welcome to join us to celebrate both of these occasions.
However, if you are planning on coming to the production, can you please let the school office know how many people will be attending each performance. We are currently permitting 2 people at each one. More people may be able to attend if there is spare capacity.
Year 6 ParentPay:
It is not only important that you pay any outstanding debts on your child’s ParentPay account, but also that you check to see if you have any money that we owe to you. Please go through and check all the categories.
Michelle Middleton:
My role as an early support consultant involves working with families to make sure that they get the support that they require to address their needs, placing the children’s needs at the centre of decision making.
I will be completing a weekly drop in session between 9am – 11.00am each Tuesday morning as of now. Individual appointments are also available on a Wednesday morning. Please see Mrs Priestley to book. During these sessions I will be able to listen to families on a 1:1 basis, and in many cases offer them short term support and guidance on a range of issues (including child behaviour & parenting). For families who require longer term support I can discuss with them other options of support, including Early Support Services. I have a good knowledge of the local and National organisations that support families overcome many problems (such as debt advice, housing advice, bereavement services, employment/education/training providers, mental health support, parental conflict/domestic violence/internet safety etc) and therefore can also signpost families to these agencies at the drop in session.
Breakfast Club:
We currently have spaces in our Breakfast Club. It is open each day from 7.45am to the start of school. Children can have a choice of cereals, juice and toast. The cost is £3.50, or £1.50 if your child is entitled to Free School Meals (not just free meals from Reception or Years 1 and 2).
Tea-Time Club:
Our Tea-Time Club is getting more and more popular. Places fill up fast, so please book in advance.
To book your child’s place, call or email the school office. Please remember that if you cancel the place on the same day as your child was due to attend, you will still be charged. If you can give as much notice as possible of a cancellation, this frees up the place for someone else to attend.
Mrs Wharton and Miss Hacking
Packed Lunches:
Please can I remind families that pupils should not have fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate bars in their packed lunches. Thank you for your support.
