Dear Parents/carers,

Welcome to the final term of the year.

Snack stall for Eli:

Thank you to everyone that made a purchase at the snack stall on the last day of term. A total of £206.21 was made. Thank you also to the kind parents who organised and ran the stall.

London meeting:

There will be a meeting in the school hall on Tuesday 3rd May at 3pm for all families who have children going to London in May. We will be sharing details about the itinerary and answer any questions you may have. The meeting will last approximately half an hour. Children can attend this meeting, but there will be another meeting just for pupils within the school day.

Tea-Time Club:

Our Tea-Time Club us getting more and more popular. Places fill up fast, so please book in advance.

To book your child’s place, call or email the school office.

Reading Friends:

We are looking at starting Reading Friends back up in the coming summer term. If you or know anyone who would like to volunteer their Thursday afternoons 1:15pm until 2:45pm, to come and read with a range children and help foster a love for reading then please register your interest. Training will be provided by Miss Byram on Wednesday 4th May at 2pm.

Nut free school:

Please remember that we are a nut free school. This does include Nutella. Please make sure that there are no nut products in your child’s packed lunch.

After School Clubs:

For this term the After School Clubs will be a Striking and fielding club for both KS1 and KS2.

Games and activities include:

Cricket, rounders, tennis, scatter ball, long ball, football, cricket, football and rounders.

The Reception/KS1 club will take place on Wednesday and the KS2 club is on Friday. Please book via ParentPay. The cost for the half term is £18.

Free School Meals:

If you think you may be eligible for free school meals, please look at the attached document providing additional information. It is worth investigating this even if your child is currently having free school meals because they are in Reception, Year 1 and 2, as there are additional benefits.

Playtime contributions:

If you had a clear out over the Easter holidays, we are on the lookout for items we can add to our playground class kits. In particular we are interested in figures such as Barbie, Action Man, animals etc. We are also looking for cycle helmets.

SMASH Film Night on Wednesday 4th May, 3pm – 5pm:

Come and watch Encanto!

Our last Film Night was cancelled due to COVID restrictions. If you bought a ticket for that event this will be automatically transferred over to this Film Night unless you let us know otherwise. If you would like your child to attend this event, but have not bought a ticket before, you will have the opportunity to purchase one when the £3.00 ticket price is added to ParentPay.

Please remember that school will be closed on Monday for Bank Holiday and then again on Thursday for a training day.
