Dear Parents/carers
We have had a challenging half term with a number of staff and pupils being absent due to COVID. I would like to say a huge thank you for a great effort from all our staff which meant that we were able to stay open even when it looked doubtful.
World Book Day:
World Book Day is on Thursday 3rd March.
As part of our ‘We Read Together campaign’, Year 1 have decided on our theme for World Book Day. They would like you to dress up as your favourite book character. If you are stuck you could always come in pyjamas to represent reading in bed.
Additionally, they have come up with a competition. At home they would like you to decorate a potato as your favourite character; it can be different to the character you are dressing up as. See the picture for ideas.

Tea-Time Club:
It’s Bingo Time: Thursday 3rd March
We’ve had a lot of requests for our Bingo Night, so what better way to start the new term!
Prizes to be won, so come along and join us. To book your child’s place, please call or email the school office.
Mrs Wharton and Miss Hacking
PE Uniform:
Thank you for your support with our school PE uniform. However, we do have a few children who are not wearing the appropriate clothing for PE. Please can you make sure your child has the correct clothing – white T-shirt, sweatshirt/hoodie, shorts, jogging bottoms (all grey, black or navy blue). We will send a reminder text home after the holidays for any child not wearing the correct uniform. If required a school sweatshirt could be worn in an emergency.
Gate opening:
There is currently a number of pupils arriving at the school gates from 8am. Please note that pupils will not be supervised and may cause a disturbance to the houses which surround school. We would appreciate it if pupils did not arrive at school until nearer the opening time of 8.30am. If your child does need to come to school early then Breakfast Club is available from 7.45am.
Deadline for London:
Please note that the final payment deadline for the London trip in May is the 1st March. This means that the trip needs to be paid in full. If you are having any issues with meeting this deadline please contact school.
ParentPay:
The half term holiday is an ideal time to look at your ParentPay account and settle any debts that may be outstanding.
Training Days 21/22 reminder:
Here are the training days for the next school year:
Thursday 5th May 2022 |
Monday 25th July 2022 |
