Dear Parents/carers,
Remembrance:
The children’s behaviour was exemplary in our Remembrance Service in Church yesterday. They were very respectful and considerate. Each of the classes has also placed red ribbons on a remembrance tree under the canopy near the school entrance, each one bearing a soldier’s name during a time of reflection.
I am also delighted by the response to our empty chair. There are some lovely, emotional labels attached to the chair remembering the loved ones we have lost. Thank you very much to everyone who has made a contribution.
Children In Need:
Children In Need is on Friday 19th November. This is a fantastic cause and so we are pleased to offer our support. We will have a non-uniform day where pupils can come in their own clothes or dress up as Pudsey, spots etc. In exchange for wearing non-uniform please can pupils bring a donation which will be passed on to Children In Need.
Tea Time Club:
Children In Need – Pudsey Bear: Thursday 18th November

Who loves Spots? Pudsey Bear does!
It’s Children In Need time, so we thought we would decorate and create some of our very own Pudsey designs.
Come along and join us. To book your child’s place, please call or email the School Office.
See you there.
Mrs Wharton and Miss Hacking
Family Questionnaire:
We are very interested in getting your thoughts regarding the ways school supported our families during COVID. We would really appreciate it if you could complete our questionnaire. This can be accessed via this link: https://forms.gle/tzQPUbF6iitPzQu58
Robinwood:
Please remember that all souvenir orders need to be in by Monday 15th November. Order forms were emailed out and there are also paper copies in the school office. These need to be paid for by cheque, payable to school, or cash. I have spoken to the children about the event and answered lots of questions! Please remind children with asthma that they must have their inhaler with them on the bus and not pack it in their luggage. Can I also remind you that should your child require travel sickness medication this must be given to a staff member for the return journey.
Jubilee Day:
As you know it is the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next year, and as a result, there is an additional day’s holiday. Schools are entitled to choose when they take this extra day. We have chosen Friday 27th May which is the Friday leading into half term.
Christmas:
As you will probably be expecting there will be some changes to the way we are running Christmas events. With the increase in the number of cases we do not want to take any unnecessary risks. I will write to you next week to provide details of how all the events will take place over this half term.
Unfortunately, we feel we are unable to have a Christmas Fair this year, but we don’t want children to miss out on meeting Santa. Therefore, we are planning to have Santa Zoom call in from the North Pole. This worked very well last year and we are lucky to have secured a slot on Friday 26th November. If you would like to book a slot with Santa please do this through ParentPay. The cost is £3.50 and will include a gift sent directly from Santa.
