Dear Parents/carers,

Sponsored obstacle course

Well done to Year 5 and 6 who completed a sponsored obstacle course today. This was to raise money for the Year 6 leaver’s hoodies. Thank you to year 5 who supported year 6 for this event.

3 year old places:

We are now able to offer paid places for children in our Nursery once they have turned 3. Usually children join Nursery in the term after their third birthday. However, if you would like your child to start earlier (or know someone who might be interested in this opportunity) they may start as soon as they have had their third birthday under our paid sessions option. These cost £12 per half day. If you would like a full day this will cost £27 as there is an additional £3 charge for lunchtime cover. You could pay for your child to have a school dinner or they could bring a packed lunch. Please pass this information to anyone who maybe interested. Contact the school office for more details.

Tea Time Club:

Wednesday 30th June: It’s Pom Pom Time:-

Make your very own unique and colourful Pom Pom, that you can display in your home. Homemade is best!

Are you going to choose the colours of your Football Team? A Bright summer design? Or a mix of all your favourite colours? The options are endless.

To book your child a place, please call or email the school office.

We are excited to see your creations.

Mrs Wharton and Miss Hacking

Punctuality:

Please can I remind you that school starts at 8.45am for pupils in Reception to Year 6. This means that pupils should be in their classrooms for the start of lessons at this time. Once the time reaches 8.50am your child is late and an adult must sign them in with a reason why. If your child is late they will miss the register and choosing their lunch. Walking in late can also cause upset and embarrassment.

From Monday one of the adults on the gate will have a clipboard where children can be signed in.  If you know you are going to be late for a reason such as a medical appointment, then please let us know in advance if at all possible.

Please also note that school finishes at 3pm for children in Reception through to Year 6. If you are going to be late please call the office. If children are not picked up without warning, we will place them in our Tea Time Club and you will be charged.

Training Days 21/22

Here are the training days for the next school year:

Monday 6th September 2021
Tuesday 4th January 2022
Thursday 5th May 2022
Monday 25th July 2022
Tuesday 26th July 2022

Sports Days reminder:

Our Sports Days will be taking place in the week beginning 5th July. Unfortunately, we will not be able to have any spectators, but we will still have a fun time with races and activities. Each bubble will have their sports day on a different day as listed below. Obviously PE kits and water bottles will be needed. We will be in touch nearer the time if children need to bring anything else.

DayBubble
Monday 5th July  Years 5 and 6
Tuesday 6th July  Years 1 and 2
Wednesday 7th July  Nursery and Reception
Thursday 8th July  Years 3 and 4

Polling Day reminder:

Our school will be used as a polling station on Thursday 1st July. As before we will provide remote learning for the children.

Pencil case reminder:

We are having an increasing problem with pencil cases in school. As you will remember these should be small and basic, only holding the key essentials. A second small pencil case can be brought with a few coloured pencils that should be kept in the child’s drawer. Larger and more expensive pencil cases cause problems by taking up space on the desk and they also encourage children to play with them when they should be working or listening. We would appreciate your help in this matter.

Reports reminder:

We will be sending your child’s end of year school report via email this year. We will use the email address that we have on record. This is the address that we use to send the weekly letters out. If you would like to change this email address, please contact school by the 30th June. Reports will be sent out shortly afterwards.

Yours sincerely, Miss J. Barker
