You will have heard in the news that the Government hopes to fully reopen schools from the 8th March. We are unable to confirm that this will definitely happen, but we will keep you posted of any news that we hear. However it is likely that you will hear the same time as us.
Can I please say a huge thank you for all your effort with home learning. I appreciate that it can be far from easy, but we have been so impressed with how hard many of our children are working. Many of you are not teachers and so we cannot expect you to deliver lessons in the same way as we would, but by keeping your children engaged as much as possible you are continuing to make a difference. Please remember that your child can access their teacher’s support online, or we can help by giving us a ring.
During this time it might be worth thinking about whether your child could be eligible for Free School Meals. This is based on your income and benefits. Children from Reception to Year 6 can qualify. I appreciate that younger children get a free school meal anyway, but if you qualify for FSM our school can receive additional funding and you may also receive additional benefits. For example, you would currently receive supermarket vouchers equivalent to £15 per week. If you think you maybe qualify you can apply using a simple form on the Kirklees website.

There will be a non-uniform day on the last day of the half term (12th Feb). This is just for fun so no need to make any contributions towards it. If your child has PE that day then they can come in whatever sports kit they choose.
Thank you again for all your hard work. It is very much appreciated.
Miss J. Barker
