Dear parents/carers
Non-uniform Day:
Thank you to everyone for your fantastic support of goods for the Food Bank. Whenever we do this event it always staggers me to see how much is donated. I know that the food bank themselves are always so impressed with the number of bags and boxes we take down there. It certainly makes a huge difference to people’s lives – especially at such a challenging time.
Individual photos:
Tempest are coming as usual to take individual photographs this term. This will take place on Tuesday 13th October. Each child will have their photograph taken and an example will be sent home for you to see. There is no obligation to purchase the photograph. Unfortunately due to the current situation there will be no sibling photos as even those with brothers and sisters in school would have to cross bubbles.
Eye tests:
Year 1 will have their eyes tested on Monday 12th October by the school nurse service. I’m delighted this is happening as so often children don’t realise they have difficulties with their sight and so don’t bring it to an adult’s attention.
PE kit:
Thank you very much for helping ensure that your child has the correct PE kit. There has been a marked improvement this week.
Nursery applications:
If you have a child who will be coming to our Nursery, please contact the school office so we can put their name on our list. This can be done in advance so please don’t think that you need to wait until they are nearly three.
Yours sincerely, Miss J. Barker
