Dear Parents/carers,

Welcome back to our new school year. It is lovely to have our children back after an extended period of time away.

Drop off and collection

Please ensure you follow our one way system when you arrive in school for drop off and collection.  You will need to come in through the car park and then exit under the canopy by the main entrance. However please closely supervise children and be aware of traffic. Staff will be there to help direct people as always.

Contact details

Please can you email or ring the office with any changes to telephone numbers or addresses. It is essential, at these times, that we can contact you easily if necessary.

PE

Please note that classes will have PE on the following days:

  • Year 1: Monday and Thursday
  • Year 2: Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Year 3: Wednesday and Thursday
  • Year 4: Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Year 5: Friday (all afternoon)
  • Year 6: Wednesday and Thursday

Once swimming is permitted again Years 3 and 4 will drop to one lesson of PE per week.

School Lunches

There will be a new school dinner menu starting on Monday 21st September. Once Kirklees have provided us with the details we will post them on our website.

Robinwood

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel the trip to Robinwood this November. Following government guidance residential trips are not permitted at this time and we have been given no timescale as to when this may change. Therefore we have had to make this difficult decision. All payments will be refunded, however we have to organise this with ParentPay. We will keep you updated.

BBG

BBG are offering pupils the opportunity to have a guaranteed place if they are successful at trials in rugby or netball. These will take place on Saturday 26th September. To register visit WWW.BBGACADEMY.COM

Thank you very much for your support during this challenging time.

Yours sincerely, Miss J. Barker
