Letter Home: Friday, 4th May 20182 minute read

Dear parents and carers,

Please find below some more key information relating to events happening this half term.

Non-uniform day:

On Friday 11th May we are having a non-uniform day to raise money for Christian Aid.  In order to wear non-uniform, your child must bring £1 to school which will be collected at the school gate as they arrive.

Key Stage 2 SATs:

The SATs take place in the week beginning the 14th May. Your child will be bringing a leaflet home about the SATs. It is essential that your child is in school on time each day, as the tests cannot be taken at a different time, unless there is an emergency situation. Year 6 children will be able to attend Breakfast Club free of charge from Monday 14th May to Thursday 17th May. Breakfast Club starts at 8am. Children should also be encouraged to go to bed at a reasonable time.

Key Stage 1 SATs:

The SATs will take place in the week beginning 21st May. Your child will bring a leaflet home. As with the Key Stage 2 SATs, it is essential that your child is in school on time each day, as the tests cannot be taken at a different time, unless there is an emergency situation. Year 2 children will be able to attend Breakfast Clun from Monday 21st May to Thursday 24th May. Breakfast Club starts at 8am. Children should also be encouraged to go to bed at a reasonable time.

Yr 5/6 trip to Bridlington:

Unfortunately, we had to postpone the Yr5/6 trip to Bridlington this week.  This was due to the weather and it turned out to be the right decision as there were reports from the coast of very high winds and driving rain. The trip has been rescheduled to Monday 21st May. You should have received a confirmation letter regarding this change.

Reception presentation:

The Reception presentation will take place on Wednesday 23rd May.  Please note this was not on the dates for half term letter.

Yours sincerely, Miss J. Barker
