Last week, the children enjoyed a lively Easter Service where Reverend Karen told a story by reading it as a 10 year old boy. The children sang Easter songs and read out prayers from each class. The children’s art work showing the Easter story is displayed in church.
Today saw our annual Easter bonnet competition being held in school. We had a brilliant set of entries this year across school and we were amazed at all the wonderful ideas that children have had. All the photos in the gallery below can be made larger by clicking them.

It was a little messy in nursery as we made dough hedgehogs. We used scissors to snip the dough to make the hedgehog spines and used currants for the eyes and nose.

On Tuesday, we held our attendance assembly, giving certificates to children who have been at school for 99% of the year! 40 children received certificates for 100% attendance this year. 100% Attenders: 99%+ Attenders:
As part of our links to other local schools in the Ten Primaries Partnership, we hold regular events together as mini-competitions. Our school council decided that we should have a scarecrow making competition. However, the event was rained off. This didn’t stop our Year 6 children from making them the other week though!
On Monday evening these 36 children attended our Leavers’ Presentation. The children performed a song that they had been learning called “Sunshine in my heart”.
