This week saw us hold our annual Harvest Festival, relocated to the school hall after high winds made it difficult to walk to church. Year 3 shared some of their harvest artwork with us, our choir sang for us and Reverend Karen lead our worship. Thanks to all parents who were able to join us.
Yesterday, the school celebrated the children who have joined us since the Summer break at St. Mary’s Church. Reverend Karen led the school in prayers, joined by prayers from every class. Every new child received a welcome gift of a Children’s Bible from the school.
Recently, the school had two special visitors from Tanzania as part of our link project with Nyanza Primary School. Arthur and Melina came to Gomersal St. Mary’s and lead a whole school worship. Yesterday the school held our annual Summer Concert. This year’s theme was “Dancing Through The Decades!” and saw children perform songs from the 1950s up to 2017. Thank you to everyone who entered today’s Easter Egg decoration competition. It was very hard to choose the winners and runners up, who will be revealed in tomorrow morning’s SMASH worship. Congratulations to everyone who entered, who received a lollipop for their efforts!
Today, we held our annual Easter service at St. Mary’s Church. Years 3 & 4 took the service alongside Reverend Karen and told us all about the events leading up to Easter Sunday. Thank you to all the relatives of those children who were able to join us.
