Letter Home: Friday, 1st December 20173 minute read

Dear parents and carers,

It is a busy time of year in school and I am sure it is the same at home, so why not take advantage of our After School Club: we’ve got lots of Christmas activities planned, so book your children in with us and you can get some Christmas shopping done or a festive catch up with friends. The cost is £6 up until 5pm and only £9 up until 6pm. You can even book in last minute on the day. For more information and to book please call the school office.

Children In Need:

Thank you very much for all the money you donated for Children In Need. We have donated over £200 to this fantastic cause.

Christmas performances:

The Key Stage 2 Christmas carol concert will be held in St Marys Church on Monday 18th December. There will be 2 performances – 2pm and 6pm. In order to book your tickets for the Key Stage 2 Christmas concert you will need to login to our parents evening system.

Once you do, the dates and times of the concerts will appear. As we have to adhere by the strict fire regulations at Church, we have to limit the tickets to 2 tickets per family, with a maximum of 140 tickets available for each performance. Assuming there is availability, you can then either book 2 tickets for one performance or 1 ticket for both.  You will be able to book tickets from 7pm on Wednesday 6th December to 10pm on Sunday 17th December.

There will be no tickets given out for the KS1 and EYFS Nativities, but can we please ask that no more than 2 people per family attend each performance. The EYFS Nativity will take place in school on Wednesday 6th December (10am and 2pm).  The KS1 Nativity, years 1 and 2, will take place in school on Tuesday 12th December (2pm and 6pm).

Non Uniform Day:

On Tuesday 5th December we are having a non-uniform day.  In order to wear non-uniform your child needs to bring a donation for the colour tombola stalls at the Christmas fair.

  • Nursery and Reception – blue
  • Years 1 and 2 – red
  • Years 3 and 4 – yellow
  • Years 5 and 6 – green

For example, if your child is in year 6 they should wear green and bring a green item for the tombola.

With Christmas fast approaching, I hope you can support this FREE Christmas event at St Mary’s Church:
