Letter home – Friday, 29th September 20172 minute read

Our After School Club is proving to be a great success this year. This is available from 3pm – 6pm, providing childcare in a safe environment with great resources. Children can have support with homework or just take it easy playing games, accessing laptops or making crafts. We also provide a light tea so children don’t go hungry. There are 2 price bands: 3pm – 5pm costs just £6.00, whereas if your child stays until 6pm the cost increases to only £9.00. In order to find out more information, or book a place, please contact Mrs Earnshaw. Please note that when sessions are booked, a minimum charge of £6.00 will be allocated to your parentpay account even if your child misses the session, for example, if they are collected early. Please see our charging policy for further details.

We have had a very exciting day today as we recognised two worthy causes. There were some lovely smells and plenty of smiles around school as we baked to raise money for Macmillan. Our coffee morning not only provided some exceptional bakes, but also provided our school with the opportunity to understand more about the fantastic work Macmillan do to support families affected by cancer. We also had a non-uniform to raise money towards some new Christmas lights for Cleckheaton. We look forward to seeing the decorations during the festive period. Thank you very much for your support and generous donations.

It is our Harvest Festival on Monday 2nd October at 10.15am. The families of Year 3 children are welcome to come and celebrate with us at St Mary’s Church.

Parents Evenings will take place on Tuesday 10th October (3.30 – 6pm) and Wednesday 11th October (5-7.30pm). We will be using the online booking system again which will go live on Wednesday 4th October at 7pm. Please see the instructions below on how to access this system. Please login before the bookings open to check you can access the system. If you have any problems please contact the office before Wednesday.

We still have a number of families who have not returned their contact sheets.  These are now overdue and it is essential that we receive them to ensure we have the most up to date information about your child.  All forms must be returned even if you think there are no changes as there is a new parental consent section which has not been included before. You should have received a text if you have not sent the form in. Please return these by Tuesday 3rd October.

If you have any questions please contact school.

Yours sincerely, Miss J. Barker
