School Updates: Wednesday, 26th April 2017

We have received confirmation today that we are going to be used as a polling station for the General Election on Thursday, 8th June. This means that school will be closed on this day.

Unfortunately, school is already closed this week on Monday 5th June for a training day. This was booked in last year and arrangements have already been made involving outside agencies.

As you can understand we have no control over the school being used as a polling station so we apologise to families who are inconvenienced by these two closure days falling in the same week.

On a different note, with a decreasing budget, we are having to look at ways to reduce costs across school. As a result, we are changing the way our newsletter is going to be distributed. There will now be different ways you can get a copy:

  1. Let the office know you would like a paper copy providing to the eldest child in school.
  2. Use this page on our website where the St. Mary’s Stars are all published and look at the newsletters online. You can also subscribe via email at the bottom of this page. If you enter your email address to subscribe to our site you will receive notification of new posts by email.
  3. Follow the school Twitter account where you will receive notifications when new documents are added to the school website, including the newsletter.
  4. Collect a paper copy from the school office.
  5. Read the copy outside the main entrance of school in the cabinet.

Yours sincerely, Miss J. Barker
