Welcome back to a new half term. We have already had a busy week with class 1 and 2 out on trips and World Book Day. Thank you for all your help in supporting the children with some fantastic costumes – for the Class 2 trip and for the whole school for World Book Day. The children (and adults) really did look amazing and made these events all the more special. We also welcome Mrs Sheard back from her trip to Tanzania to visit our link school over there. We very much look forward to hearing all about her adventures.
Our Rotary purple crocuses are looking beautiful again. Please can you make sure that children don’t run or walk across them as some are getting flattened already!
As you can imagine we are also very busy working towards our Ofsted action points. Due to our Requires Improvement judgement we have been appointed a National Leader for Education who will be working with the school over the coming months. I have a meeting with them this afternoon where we will start writing the post Ofsted action plan. I will keep you posted on how this is progressing.
SMASH are having a meeting next Thursday (9th March) at the Bull’s Head. It will start at 7.15pm so please come along and offer your support. New members are always welcome.
As you are aware we have parents evenings on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th March. Many of you have already made appointments online. If you haven’t managed to do this yet, please make sure you do as it is so important that we meet with you to discuss how your child is doing in school.
We will be celebrating Red Nose Day on Friday 24th March. Further details will follow on how we will raise money for this worthwhile cause.
On a final note please can I ask that there is no smoking of any type in the school grounds. This does include vaping. If we see this happening we will ask you to stop.
Yours sincerely, Miss J. Barker
