School Updates: 16th October 2015

Please can I start with a reminder about our Harvest Appeal. This year we are joining St Mary’s Church in supporting the Cleckheaton Refugee Crisis Appeal.  The Church will be open from 10.30am-12.30pm on Saturday 24th October for people to drop off their donations and stay to join in their coffee morning if you wish.  If you would like to make a donation, but can’t make it to Church on that date, then please drop off your donations at school on Friday 23rd October and we will pass them on. At the same time ‘The Great Gomersal Bake Off’ will take place where you can enter a cake or just go along and eat the delicious entries!  If you would like to enter a cake into the competition please take it along to Church between 10am and 10.30am on the 24th October.

Miss Joyce would like me to pass on her thanks for all the books that have been donated.  We have received a fantastic selection which will be enjoyed by our children.  Thank you very much.

Many thanks to all the families that came to watch Class 6’s fantastic presentation on Wednesday. The class performed segments representing different areas of the curriculum which they wrote themselves.  On Wednesday 21st October Class 3 will be doing their Class presentation at 2.30pm.  Families of pupils in this class are welcome to join us.

On Wednesday our Year 5 girls took part in the next round of the cross country competition. Each girl tried her best and all completed the race.  Well done girls!

Just a reminder that we break up for our half term holiday next Friday.  We will return to school on Tuesday 3rd November.

Many thanks for your support.

Mr Pitts currently teaches Computing to the whole school along with some other subjects during teacher’s PPA time. He runs this website and makes sure it all works smoothly, most of the time!
