School Updates: Friday, 24th April 2015

I hope you all had a good Easter holiday and are now enjoying this lovely spell of weather. Please can I remind you that PE will often than not be outside now so children will need suitable trainers/pumps for these lessons. However please remember that children are still expected to come to school in their black school shoes and change for PE.

As always we are busy at school especially as the Year 2 and 6 SATs aren’t far away! This term we have made alterations to the school daily timetable. We now start the afternoon together in Collective Worship which as resulted in an increase in the teaching and learning time in the morning. The children have shared many positive comments about the new timetable. There is a chance that your child now has a different day for PE than last term so please check if you are unsure.

Can I say a huge thank you to the families of children in Reception, Year 1 and 2. The cloakrooms are so much less congested now and it’s making life so much easier for the adults and children to prepare for the day ahead. The Reception staff, in particular, are impressed with how independent the children are.

Yours sincerely, Miss J. Barker
