Red Nose Day 2015 & Other School Updates

First of all we would like to thank you for the generous support you have given to our Red Nose Day fundraising. We can’t believe we sold out of red noses in the first day and had to restock! We have also had a successful non uniform day and we are delighted that our school has made such a valued contribution to this fantastic cause.

In total we raised £530 for Comic Relief. This amount could pay for over 200 mosquito nets to protect mothers and their babies across Africa from contracting life-threatening malaria whilst they sleep.

Many thanks also to everyone who has supported our parents evening this week.  It was great to see so many families and have the opportunity to talk about how well children are doing as well as sharing goals for the future.  If you didn’t make an appointment, please contact school as we would still like to meet with you.

We have noticed that our children are already following the new policy of wearing school shoes throughout the day, without the need to change into outdoor shoes.  The cloakrooms are already looking considerably tidier and less learning time is being lost with children having to change shoes. We will be checking children’s shoes from today so please you ensure that all pupils have the right shoes on.  These must be all black, smart shoes, not trainers of any kind.

Finally can we remind those of you who have not yet returned the personal information forms/medical forms that they must be returned to the school office as soon as possible.  This is essential information that must be kept up to date. Please note even if there are no changes we still need the forms returned.

Many thanks for your continued support.

Mr Pitts currently teaches Computing to the whole school along with some other subjects during teacher's PPA time. He runs this website and makes sure it all works smoothly, most of the time!
