Dear Parents and Carers,
You may have heard from your child that we will be introducing some changes to the school’s behaviour policy. We are very keen to share the changes with home so next week a copy of the behaviour policy will be available to parents via this website. If you are unable to retrieve a copy, please contact school and we will happily provide a paper copy for you. We are also going to run 2 sessions where families can come and talk to members of staff about what will be happening and see the resources we will be using. These sessions will take place on Monday 6th October from 3pm – 4pm and then from 5:30pm – 6:30pm on the same day (note that this is different to the letter that went out stating 5:50pm). Please come along and find out more. I will also be there of course so please come and introduce yourselves to me and have a chat.
On Tuesday 30th September 2014 from 2pm onwards, our school’s Family Support Link Worker, Laraine Bouhouli, invites you to meet her over coffee and cakes at school to have a chat about anything that may be concerning you. She is very keen to get involved with our school community and so if you would like to drop in, please let the school office know so that we have an idea of numbers for catering.
We encourage our children to think healthily and so from Monday 29th September fruit will be available for children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 to purchase each playtime. There will a variety available over the week at a cost of 20p per piece.
I have had a request from staff to ask that all items of clothing be named as it is causing problems, especially with the younger children, after PE. It makes our lives so much easier if each item is named so it can be returned to the correct child. Also please can I ask that all children have a pair of black indoor shoes, for example pumps. We really appreciate your support on this matter.
Yours sincerely, Miss J. Barker
