Monday Club1 minute read

Monday Club is a Christian After School Club.  We think about the Christian Faith together through lots of different media such as art, film and drama etc.  We usually start with a story from the Bible and then we will do an activity.  We say a prayer at the end of the club.  We enjoy finding out about the different festivals and seasons of the Church.  This year we have created a prayer Station in School and we have asked children if there is someone they want to pray for – they can draw and colour the person and stick them on the board.

Prayer St 2

We have visited our Church of St Mary’s where we have done the Stations of the Cross.  On another visit we have made sketches of the Christus and then we made our own clay models for a display.  We are fortunate to have Mrs Joyce Jackson (School Governor) to help us with this.

Chrsitus Display

This week and last week we have been looking at the Holy Trinity using salt dough – we made our own Trinity Knots and painted them.  We will be visiting Church again this Term where we will look at the stained glass windows.

We have recently formed a Worship Group – The Monday Club do a short drama in assembly once a Half Term along with a bible reading and prayer – this will be based on a Bible Story or will have a Christian message.
