Christmas Production Visit: Beauty And The Beast1 minute read

We are once again visiting the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield for our Christmas Production on Wednesday 19th December in the morning.  The production is ‘Beauty and the Beast’.  The children will leave school at 8.45 am and will be back in school for a late lunch.

Once upon a time there lived a hideous beast in a vast, dark castle.

When Beauty’s father plucks a rose from the garden, he is forced to hand over his beloved daughter to the angry creature. Trapped in the castle far from everyone she knows, frightened and alone, Beauty begins to hate the Beast – and who could ever love a monster like him?

Join colourful characters as they bring together the ingredients of this classic fairytale: a rose in the snow, a magic mirror, a desperate gallop through a dark, dark forest, a fairy godmother and maybe … just maybe… a happy ending.

This Christmas, the LBT welcomes you to a new musical staging of an old, old tale. The show combines an imaginative script from Olivier award–winning Mike Kenny and specially written music and songs from Julian Butler (Charlie and Lola).

An enchanting adventure, a lasting love story and a perfect festive family treat.

The cost of the visit is £10 and this will include admission, coach travel and ice cream.  The cost has been subsidised by The Governors (£1.80 per child) by the School Fund (£2.00 per child).

Please provide any payment to Mrs Earnshaw in the school office before Monday 10th December.

Mr Pitts currently teaches Computing to the whole school along with some other subjects during teacher's PPA time. He runs this website and makes sure it all works smoothly, most of the time!
