Recommended Books for Key Stage One Children

In our parent reading questionnaires, we asked you how we could help you to help your child in reading. Many of you said that you would like to know what books would be covered during particular year groups. You also asked what books we would recommend for children of particular ages. Below is a list of recommended reads for KS1 children. Though your child will study some of these books during their time in KS1, they love hearing and reading familiar books so any of these would make an ideal Christmas or birthday present!
