The Highwayman

Year 5 have been studying narrative poetry. They looked at The Lady of Shalott by Alfred Lord Tennyson and The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes.

With our recent purchases of podcasting equipment, and with the help of RadioWaves, we are able to share with you our performance of The Highwayman.

Let us know if you enjoyed it by leaving a comment!

Mr Pitts currently teaches Computing to the whole school along with some other subjects during teacher's PPA time. He runs this website and makes sure it all works smoothly, most of the time!

A great retelling of these classic narrative poems, it brings back fond memories of when I studied this at school!

Great stuff Year 5, loved the fact I could hear you performing this. The year 5 children at my school in Norfolk have also produced some ace work on the Highwayman- I will share this idea with them. They also did charcoal and chalk pictures inspired by some of the lines in the poem- they look fantastic as well. Keep up the good work!
